1:Turks love to touch: My first year in turkey I was really shocked to see the way Turkish people greet each other. You might see men holding hands with men,Sleeping so closely to each other. However all touching is below the waist.Anything other than that is considered sexual .Turkish men tend to greet each other by gently touching the sides of their head together.  2: Keep your voice down in public transport: Making loud phone calls, laughing out loud ,Talking so loud will attract attention and you might be told off. 3: Do not ride a taxi without a logo or a proper meter: Turkish taxi drivers love ripping off tourists .They give you prices in dollars and try to make any extra cash or take you on the wrong route purposely to make more money out of you.I have been a victim of this severally. 4: Do not insult Ataturk: Turks have respect for their founding father of Turkish Republic.Make no side remarks or jokes about him at all .Respect the Turkish flag don’t use it to ...

I met another Turkish man and complained about this problem to him he seemed understanding and said he his different but that was all a lie to get me to trust him.He repeated the same thing.Taxi drivers will also try to ask for your...
